Have you been Smoothie-fied yet?

Good morning y'all!

Rise and Shine....

(Morning stretch and yawn before starting this post...)

Is it just me or does it seem like smoothies are all of a sudden a huge trend?

People going all natural and juicing and doing smoothies, it's positively great!

The honest truth is we need to eat healthier and be or stay active.

Anyways, I found this green smoothie recipe for all you smoothie newbies to try!

Your going to need a blender of course!

Some recipes may sound yucky, but honestly don't knock it til you try it.

When your comfortable at making smoothies, you can add other nutritious stuff to your smoothie or customize them.

Green tea may not be your cup of tea (pun intended) but you may want to get used to it, it has a lot of health benefits such as detoxifying your body. I've heard about drinking 3 cups of green tea a day for true benefits.

**If your allergic to any of these ingredients such as blueberries you can substitute with another fruit that you CAN eat OR you can leave that particular ingredient out.

"Green Monster Smoothie"

Ingredients:

-1 large handful of fresh spinach

-2 tablespoons plain yogurt

-half teaspoon of cinnamon

-1 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder

-1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger

-half of a ripe banana

-1 cup of frozen blueberries

-handful of ice (about 5 regular size ice cubes)

-(optional) add as much of chilled green tea as you want

Process:

1. Put all ingredients in blender and mix til a smoothie consistency.

Drink and enjoy!
